Professor Sir Michael Marmot & Dr Angela Donkin: "Thomas Piketty, in his book Capital in the Twenty-First Century, captured attention by pointing to dramatic increases in the concentration of income and wealth – we are heading back to 19th Century levels. This increasing concentration of capital and income is not good for our society. If we want a healthy economy, a healthy population, a fair society, a population with lower crime, we ought to be very concerned."
