Our goal in this blog is to promote a Triple Approach to the Earth Citizens' Health. This Triple Approach consists of : 1) Quaternary Prevention (Preventing Unnecessary Interventions in Clinical Medicine and Public Health ), 2) Prevention of Diseases and Treatment of Patients by Improving Living Conditions and Social Prescribing, 3) Preconception Prevention of Diseases by Preconception Planning.

In the decade to 2012, the number of back surgeries in Belgium rose by no less than 40%. For many patients however, an intervention doesn’t help and can even lead to complications, according to the Belgian Health Care Knowledge Centre (KCE).
